This Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer position offers you a monthly salary of € 4.674 and € 6.677, depending on your knowledge and experience. This salary is based on a 40-hour work week and is excluding a 13th month and a holiday allowance.

Your impact as a Full Stack engineer at NN

You will join a partially remote cross-functional product team in the IT department of Inkomen. In this department, we create B2B insurance products for intermediaries and direct employers. Our focus is to create an amazing user experience, expand our product offering and improve operational efficiency.
You are going to use technologies and tools such as Serverless, JavaScript/TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS, React, Node.js and more. But also technologies as WSO2, Micr integrator, API’s.Besides directly contributing to the codebase, a big part of your responsibility is to coach others to become better software engineers, help us develop general best practices and foster a true engineering culture.

Your responsibilities

  • Build software with the best possible user experience, while following an API-first approach
  • Implement modern best practices for software development, such as automated building, testing and deployment through CI/CD
  • Collaborate closely with your team members by doing pair and mob programming and coach others to become better software engineers and further develop their strengths
  • Talk to other departments, teams and users to explore their needs and come up with feasible solutions
  • Advocate a Full Stack and DevOps mindset

You are an all-round software engineer, but more importantly, a team player. You have a strong sense of ownership, high quality engineering standards and the ability to develop high quality code. You clearly communicate with others and both seek out and provide constructive feedback. You maintain a growth mindset and feel responsible for both the technical and personal development of the team and the department. Finally, you are eager to learn and always looking to acquire new skills or try new technologies, methodologies and processes.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Frontend development: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and knowledge of any modern frontend framework (Preferably React or Vue)
  • Backend development: experience with any modern backend tech stack (Preferably Node.js) and the willingness to learn Node.js
  • Experience building applications using AWS (e.g. API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kubernates, etc.)
  • A passion for automation and implementing recurring tasks, testing, and security in CI/CD systems such as Gitlab and Azure DevOps

Furthermore it is a plus if you have:
  • Experience building applications using Serverless
  • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo
  • Experience with Docker or K8s

  • 216 hours of leave (27 days), based on a 40-hour work week and one extra Diversity Day per year
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel 7 days a week. Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometers travelled for business and commuting.
