Platform Manager at Zurich Insurance Group

Our opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Platform Manager to join our international Business Technology Solutions organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for all cloud-based platform related activities in coordination with the team to ensure compliance with ITGC, SOX and continuous delivery following agile methodology.
You will proactively expand your expertise in both existing and new functionalities, along with best practices in the relevant space, applying these learnings in your daily job.

Your role

As a Platform Manager your main responsibilities will involve
  • Manage the ACE subscription and all the platform components (building blocks) required to operate the application.
  • Manages the integration of ACE platform with other satellite application and Zurich services e.g., Active Directory, external NW, Share point, O365
  • Manage the solution components and dependencies which are deployed within Azure
  • Alignment of the solution with application development and security best practices
  • Manager the resolution of Platform related incidents
  • Review the Platform changes and approve / raise exception where need
  • Vulnerability management, governance, patching, ITGC , SoC controls of the overall ACE platform
  • responsible for all deployments into UAT and Production subscriptions to ensure the SoD. This will require working with the development team, particularly for major releases which may involve more significant changes to the platform
  • Support in conducting the DR exercise
  • Supports in maintaining and enhancing automated deployment of the solution including IaaC (Terraform), azure dev ops and release process of Azure Devops
  • Manage Azure services used by ACE including Azure SQL, Databricks and Analysis Services
  • Manage the Azure platform to align with demand, this includes scaling up and down the infrastructure currently and should include future automation of activities.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Platform Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
  • University level education or equivalent.
  • +5-10 years’ Experience creating solutions with .NET tools, .NET Core 6 and ASP.NET
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, terraform, Kubernetes, Sharepoint, Active directory, O365, Teams and other related products.
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Having experience in insurance and especially in the actuarial domain is highly desirable
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Familiarity with analytics (modeling, prediction, segmentation) preferred
  • Excellent English and communication skills.
