R&D Engineer at Nilfisk A/S

We are looking for R&D CONTINUATION ENGINEER to our Szigetszentmiklós factory.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO:

Continuous engineering activities
  • Product line maintenance tasks of floor cleaning equipment (scrubber-dryers,sweepers)
  • Create, update 3D models and drawings
  • Build, update bill of materials (BOM) structure
  • Technical documentation in PDMLink system
  • Handle Field Failure Reports (TFR) and manage changes through the Engineering Change Management process
  • Component standardization for cost out
  • Evaluate, validate, approve new components
  • Participation in quality, production and process optimizing projects
  • Product approval together with 3. party institutes eq. TÜV and UL

Production support
  • Failure analysis, data collection, change initiation

Project support
  • Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) projects
  • Participate in engineering builds, pilot production
  • Preparation and testing of products for certification/approval
  • Participation in Design reviews and FMEA analyses
  • Co-operate and work closely with the other R&D departmentsand compliance center worldwide
  • Work with other teams (engineering, production, sourcing, quality) on a daily basis
  • Collaborate and visit Suppliers if need
  • Travel around 10-15 days in a year

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering orequivalent
  • CAD drawing experience, massive knowledge in creating, updating 3D models (CREO3.0)
  • Understanding of product design and manufacturing processes
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Strong analytical skill and problem-solving attitude
  • Strong written and verbal English skills (Upper-Intermediate English)
  • Highly motivated, organized and flexible personality
  • Real team player who has an eye for details

ADVANTAGES:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum three years in product development, testing and validation
  • Hands-on experience in metal technologies (die/gravity casting), weldments, surface treatment, fasteners, plastics (injection/blow molding)
  • Competent in design processes, prototyping techniques, also in cost reduction projects
  • Experience in Floorcare products
  • Routine in PDM-Link and ERP systems (SAP)
  • Excellent communication skills
