The Position

You will be able to influence and leave your mark on our products as our new hardware platform architect.
You will work in a team of five Platform Architects with the Hearing Aid Hardware R&D department. The team is responsible for developing the architecture for Demant’s families of hearing instruments and accessories, ensuring that strategic goals of the organization are supported by the hearing instrument platform roadmap. The architects’ team is multidisciplinary across very low-power, battery powered electronics, mechanics, and electro-acoustics. With this open position we want to strengthen the electro-acoustical capabilities of the team.
We work in a matrix organization and you will be working simultaneously on several projects with participants and stakeholders both within and outside the hardware organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Defining hardware platform architecture for selected hearing instruments and accessories
  • Assessing solution feasibility in collaboration with the rest of the hardware platform development team and stakeholders across the organization
  • Identifying feasibility studies required for proper project risk assessment

Recommending scope for concept projects required for risk reduction prior to initiation of platform development projects

We are looking for you!

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree within engineering. You should have at least 5 years of experience with electro-acoustical hardware system design or architecture; preferably with low-power, medical devices.
You must have strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated technical topics to stakeholders in different levels and functions across the organization.
