Do you have a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Engineering Technology? Do you have construction or related experience? We’re looking for someone with at least three years of fire alarm or related electrical/low-voltage fire protection design experience to join our team in Omaha, NE. As a Fire Alarm Designer / Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for a wide array of responsibilities including shop drawings, estimating, operation planning, project scheduling, material procurement, quantity tracking, contract administration, field engineering, and supervision of field activities.

  • Detailing of shop drawings and estimating
  • Operation planning and project scheduling
  • Material procurement and quantity tracking
  • Contract administration
  • Field Engineering and supervision of field activities

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Engineering Technology, Construction or related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of fire alarm or related electrical/low-voltage fire protection design experience
  • NICET Level II certification, with NICET Level III fire alarm certification preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with MS Excel and Word
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to assigned project locations to oversee system installations (minimal local travel)

Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced construction office and field project environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management and staff a while simultaneously managing a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 30 pounds.
