Securing quality and efficiency of accounting operations (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger and others where applicable) in the GSSO local team as well as coordination of finance activities in the country

Main responsibilities

  • Provide visible leadership to the local GSSO team, promoting the GSS culture of process focus, continuous improvement, and openness to change. Coach and develop GSSO team competences and attitude
  • Supervise AP, AR and GL activities performed in the Shared Service Center
  • Ensure preparation and provision of periodical tax statements by due dates, according to local regulations
  • Ensure that any operational or performance issue escalated by involved parties gets resolved in a timely and appropriate fashion
  • Involvement in improvement projects within shared services and local organization’s accounting or in collaboration with other GSSO teams
  • Supervise payroll from the fiscal point of view
  • Develop and maintain a good network and open communication channels with the relevant business partners in the local organizations and in the shared service center
  • Create and implement financial control tools; establish internal controls to assure that accounts reconcile and that the Group and Statutory Books are kept in accordance with Group and Statutory Accounting Standards
  • Manage the Period End Closing Process from local side
  • Assist in the Electrolux Control Standards processes
  • Establish relationships and work closely with relevant Local Authorities, Auditors, Controllers as well as Group Accounting and Reporting teams to ensure the books meet the Accounting Standards
  • Manage Bank Relations locally on behalf of Group Treasury.
  • Support, if required, other Finance and Accounting areas


  • 15 years experience in accounting and finance including Tax
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a management role, including staff management
  • experience with a Shared Service Centre environment
  • people & change management as well as working in a multicultural, international environment
  • proficiency in Romanian accounting & tax practices and the regulatory environment
  • prior experience in a multinational manufacturing corporation preferred
  • Fluent in english
